Long Island Pulse magazine was a client referred to IEG from a former PBS NewsHour employee who witnessed first hand the IEG redesign of PBS NewsHour. The client wanted a complete re-design of lipulse.com, both front and back-end, in order to improve their editorial production process – all on a very aggressive timeline. This was accomplished by migrating all content to new, secure servers, a migration to WordPress, and the automation of tedious production tasks using custom plugins. This project was a significant undertaking, with a custom content architecture, site-design overhaul and and content management upgrade. The team advised the client on all site matters – from server hosting and security best practices, to analytics implementations, through content architecture, and most visibly through design changes. The new lipulse.com is faster, responsive, stable, and more secure. The editorial team’s production process is now streamlined and intuitive; the site design is fresh and modern. From initial meetings through launch, IEG was able to build a brand new site layout, both front and back-end, while maintaining the Long Island Pulse’s look and feel.
